Andean Astronomical Observatory

This observatory, located 40 minutes from Santiago, in the foothills of the Chilean Andes, offers different astronomical observation stations at an altitude of 2,700 metres.

The astronomical tour offered by the AAO is a personalised activity for visitors (small groups only). There is a tour through different observing stations and lectures, 3D short films with snacks/cocktails included. In addition, longer watching time is offered with telescopes on the terrace and the central dome with astrophotography sessions of deep space objects.

Astronomical tour days: Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
