This ski center, located only 36 kilometers away from Santiago, was created by the vision of a group called Los Pioneros, who sought to establish a ski center in the central zone, close to the center of the capital.

Nowadays, El Colorado is a center for all kind of public interested in adventure tourism and mountain tourism, from experienced athletes to the youngest members of the family, who are just facing their first trips on snow or beginners who are coming to a center of these characteristics for the first time.

This mountain destination has 112 slopes and a skiable surface of 1,100 hectares, making it one of the best ski centers in South America. It rises to an altitude over 3,300 meters and has a drop of 1,090 meters, to which it adds 70 slopes and 40 kilometers of skiable terrain divided between beginners, advanced and experts. The longest run is 4.3 kilometers long.

The center also has 18 lifts: two double chairlifts, three triple chairlifts, 12 drag lifts and two lifts for children. There is a complete equipment rental, group, private and children’s ski lessons are available. The winter center is made up of two interconnected villages, each of them with hotels, lodges and apartments for rent to enjoy the experience of staying in the Andes Mountain range.
